Hi, I’m Amy.
I am a Nebraska native and mom, I love kayaking and am an avid baseball fan. I have always been very active in my church and my church community is very important to my family and my spiritual practice. I was a stay-at-home mom for many years before I started my coaching business. Being a mom showed me in a very real way that everyone is different and tailoring my approach to the needs of the individual is essential. There is no one-size formula to support personal growth. I bring this individualized approach to my coaching.
Statistics predict that 1 of my daughters and 1 of my sons will experience intimate partner physical abuse in their lifetime. Even more, nearly half, will experience emotional abuse. I am NOT ok with that! In coaching, I am working to change those stats through education and awareness and bring healing to women affected by abuse through individual and group coaching. As each of us becomes stronger and healthier we help our families, our schools, our churches, and our communities become healthier.
A STUNNING life is waiting for you to step into!
How I Was Called to Coaching
Over the years I spoke with women of faith in difficult and confusing relationships who were not getting the help they needed. So many of our friends and spiritual leaders mean well, but do not know how to help women in these situations. While our pastors are wonderful spiritual leaders, they cannot do everything, and may not be specially trained in helping women in unhealthy relationships. After hearing women tell me how they had gone to their pastor or other well-intended friends for help and felt like nobody understood the depth of what they were experiencing, I felt called to offer specialized support to women of faith. There are times to ‘stick it out’, but that may not always be the healthiest option. Together we will work toward thriving as the women God created us to be by understanding where we are and what options we have.
My Training
I am a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) through IPEC, an International Coach Federation (ICF) Accredited Program, which is the gold standard for coaching programs. This immersive program included over 150 clinical hours where I honed my coaching skills and ability to assist individuals in changing their lives. I continue to expand my knowledge, have completed training as a Trauma Support Specialist and achieved the Accredited Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the ICF.
